Marketing Assistance for Specialty crops

 

This program is administered through FSA and has been allocated 2 billion in funding!  The signup is from Dec 10, 2024, through January 8th, 2025.  This program will be paying an additional percentage of your gross sales.  The percentage is not known at this time and will be backed into as funding allows after the application process has been closed.  This is modeled after the WHIP program that pro-rated the percentages but of course this time has a ceiling so you will not know the indemnity until after the application process.

Below is the chart they are using, and the letters are the unknown.

For MASC program participation, eligible specialty crop sales only include sales of commercially marketed raw specialty crops grown in the United States by the producer. The portion of sales derived from adding value to a specialty crop (such as sorting, processing, or packaging) is not included when determining eligible sales.

Payment will be calculated based on 2023 and 2024 total crop sales multiplied by a percent payment factor. The payment factors have not been determined yet. Attached is the chart they will be using.
