  • CORN: 1 ton x projected price of silage
  • DRY BEANS: 120 lbs. x price election of 10% of unit guarantee whichever is less

TIPS FOR REPORTING ACRES

  1. Report any prevented planting acres as soon as the decision to not plant has been made.
  2. Upon completion of seeding, please notify your agent.
  3. Fill out maps in their entirety:
    • Crop/Planted acres/date of planting/drawn out wet areas
    • Wet areas on maps do not constitute a notice of loss for prevented plant.
  4. When you have scheduled your FSA certification appointment, let your agent know. Please schedule as early as possible.
    • You may elect to certify your acres to FSA before contacting your agent.
  5. We prefer to have all FSA 578s and maps to ensure the highest accuracy of reporting.
  6. If farming across a section line, please notify agent as the sections will not qualify as separate optional units and separate databases are not allowed.

PREVENTED PLANTING

Notice of loss

In the event the insured is prevented from planting the insured crop, the insured must notify the agent within 72 hours after:

  • The insured determines they will not be able to plant the insured crop within any applicable late planting period
    • OR
  • The Final Planting Date, if the insured does not intent to plant the insured crop during the late planting period

PRODUCTION LOSS

Notice of Loss

The insured must only notify the agent within 72 hours after initial discovery of damage or loss of production (but not later than 15 days after the end of the insurance period, even if you have not harvested the crop).

Late reported claims may be denied payment.
